The study time is divided into two sessions: from 9:30 a.m. to 12:50 p.m., and from 1:45 p.m. to 3:40 p.m. The first bell rings at 9:20 a.m. At that time, students must sit silently in their classrooms and study. Those who arrive early should not wander around or play, but remain in their respective classrooms and study. Time should not be wasted by talking in the verandas.
All students must attend the Morning Assembly. While coming to and leaving the assembly, strict order and complete silence must be maintained. Everyone should actively participate in the common prayer song conducted during the assembly.
Students must show respect and obedience to the authorities and teachers. When they meet them or when a teacher enters the classroom, students should stand up and greet them appropriately. When the teacher leaves, they should again stand and express gratitude. Classes begin and end with prayer.
During class hours, students must maintain complete silence and discipline. They should pay close attention when lessons are taught, study them well, and complete the homework assigned each day promptly. Students must not leave the classroom during class hours without the teacher’s permission. Permission from the teacher is also required to enter other classrooms, and they may enter only after receiving consent.
After arriving at school, students must obtain permission from the Headmistress before leaving the school premises. If it is necessary to go home early for any reason, prior permission must be obtained.
Permission to leave early will be granted by the Headmistress based on a written request. In certain cases, the Headmistress may delegate this authority to the class teacher.
If visitors need to meet a student during study hours due to an urgent matter, they must obtain prior permission from the Headmistress. Visitors are not allowed to go directly to the classroom.
• Habitual late attendance, absence without valid reason, telling lies, engaging in dishonest practices, or any immoral behavior will be considered serious offenses and will be punished. Under no circumstances should students take others’ belongings without permission. If any lost item or money belonging to someone else is found, it must be handed over immediately to the Headmistress.
Any damage caused to school property such as laboratory equipment, library books, or other materials must be compensated appropriately. It is the responsibility of students to keep classrooms, surroundings, and school property clean and orderly. Students are not permitted to sit on teachers’ chairs without authorization, nor to write or draw on the board, desks, or walls.
Students must write their names on their personal belongings and take responsibility for keeping them safe. If anything is lost, the class teacher must be informed immediately.
Students must conduct themselves in a disciplined and exemplary manner while coming to and leaving school. They should behave respectfully at bus stops as well and maintain proper queues.
Students must board the bus in an orderly manner by standing in queue. They should also maintain a queue while using water at the tap. Books and study materials required for each day must be brought according to the timetable. Guide books are not permitted in the classroom.
Students are not allowed to enter the staff room. Entry is permitted only with a teacher’s permission in unavoidable circumstances. After school hours, students should not loiter around but must go home promptly.
It is the duty of every student to actively participate in the various programmes and activities organized by the school for their spiritual, intellectual, artistic, and physical development.
If a student is absent from class, a leave letter signed by the parent stating the reason must be submitted to the class teacher. Students who do not secure at least 85% attendance must submit a written explanation along with a medical certificate before the final examination.
Absence from examinations without special permission will be considered a serious breach of discipline. Parents are required to visit the school on days specified by teachers to review their child’s academic progress.
Students must wear the prescribed school uniform when coming to school. A special uniform must be worn on all Wednesdays. Hair must be neatly plaited into two braids daily, tied with ribbons of the specified color. Wearing gold ornaments is not permitted. The use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited.
Students must understand that the school rules are meant for their all-round development and to make life orderly and disciplined. They are bound to respect these rules and follow them faithfully. These regulations help in the proper functioning and stability of the school. In addition to the above-mentioned rules, students are also obliged to accept and follow any additional rules formulated as and when required.
